Well, at least I think I am. Which girl’s not a shoe girl anyway? Girls are attracred to shoes as much as guys are attracted to gadgets. We love gadgets too, but that story is for another day.
Let’s talk about shoes first. I have a confession to make. I actually like red shoes. Not those dull red shoes, but those shiny, bright red that rivals….Ronald’s shoes (Hint: McDonald’s). I didn’t notice at first, but eventually I seem to develop a consistent pattern of trying out Ronald’s shoes in all shoe shops first, then I move on to other colours. Like Blowfish Shoes, there are just so irresistible. I wonder if it is an inborn gene in the X chromosome that makes us girls loves shoes, and manufacturers such as Blowfish Women’s Shoes seize the opportunity to make more sales. Hmmm, I wonder if the male actually drool at these Blowfish Men’s Shoes. Makes me think.

I believe the petrol price hike is something everyone had already known.
Too bad I have already fill my tank to the brim last two days. Isk! I can’t even get the satisfaction of filling the last drop of petrol that costs RM1.92 tonight! Not that I could, mind you, the queue was so bad in front of every petrol station, I bet by the time I reach the pump I would have to pay the new price of RM2.70 already.
The domino’s effect, it is going to affect the price of all other daily necessities.
Gone were the good old days when I could fill up the Kancil for less than twenty bucks. Gone were the days where RM2.00 can buy me a delicious plate of char kueh tiau and iced drinks. Gone were the days when people actually earn enough to live comfortably.
All I can see ahead now is more scrimping and saving. And the hike will just be the first of many more hikes to come. The blood in my veins run cold to think of how to survive when everything is so expensive but yet the pay remains stagnant. Not that I’ve been paid yet.
Suddenly, the future seems very bleak. Excuse me, I think I must go lie down and digest the fact. Boohoohoohooo!
