T Forty Two @ Empire Shopping Gallery

We don't really like going to Empire Shopping Gallery. Parking is expensive, there's nothing much to see there unless we also cover Subang Parade and Carrefour Subang Jaya. So, when I read about T Forty Two, we really made it a point to go ESG to try it out. T Forty Two is a cafe linked to Ms. Read in Empire Shopping Gallery serving a decent selection of cakes and tea time morsels. For a cafe linked to a boutique, this place serves high quality desserts.

I particularly like their angel food cake. Moist and flavourful, with a good layer of cream cheese frostings.

The 3 tier tea time set goes for RM39.90 per set, and comes with 2 drinks of choice. They have a few teas and coffees to choose from. Tea time set is available for the whole day.

Flourless chocolate cake.Rich, dense and chocolatey.

The scones were warm, buttery and light.

Sandwiches: egg, cucumber and smoked salmon.

Our coffee and tea that comes together with the hi-tea set. The mix and match floral china is charming in its own special way.

Footnote: Bad Service Moment: Waited 5 minutes for servers to show us the menu, despite (hand signals, waving, and saying excuse me) making known our presence. Servers busied themselves refilling water for adjacent tables even after the tables had already paid the bill (we saw with our own eyes). Left without ordering. Will never consider to return again.
