Buy Me Coffee and I’ll Be Happy

After some thought on being blasé and all that, I realize that the world is divided into a lot of groups of people: the optimists, the pessimist, the extrovert, the introvert, the drama queen, the macho men, the hypochondriac, the Münchhausen, the blonde cheerleader, the jock, the nerd kid, the losers, the winners and everything else you think you want to name your next best friend.

Being a needle in a haystack, I have my own troubles, but compared to others mine is insignificant, and I shouldn’t fuss over them like its the end of the world. While my problems are mine alone, I should be thankful that things change, time will never standstill, and soon enough, things will be alright again.

blasé

blase

I am not unhappy, just unfeeling.

Woke up this morning, bumped around preparing for work, and finally has been sitting in the office for say, 3 hours and still unfeeling. Does the world standstill when you are unhappy? I guess not. Life still goes on, regardless if its a bed of roses, or a bed of roses’ thorns.

If there is a choice of being happy or unhappy each day, would I choose the former or the latter? Does it matter to me what my choice is? Do I feel happy in being unhappy? Do I enjoy being happy? Do people even derive joy out of self misery, pray tell?

Perhaps, being blasé is a better choice. It would be a nice shield against the two extremes of joy and sorrow anyway.

Juno (2007)

I kinda like Ellen Page’s funny, cheerful and pragmatic character as Juno MacGuff in the movie Juno. A nicely done comedy about growing up and the bumps along the way, this movie addresses the sensitive issues of teen pregnancy and the available options or abortion and otherwise.

Faced with an unplanned pregnancy, an offbeat young Juno makes an unusual decision regarding her unborn child.

The movie, albeit is a little slow and the dialogs hard to catch sometimes, is quite an eye opener. Its funny, insightful and seriously, sweet in a special way.

Quote: Juno MacGuff: Yeah, I’m a legend. You know, they call me the cautionary whale.

General Election: Childish Adults Hurling Stones

Things are getting from bad to worse. With the amount of waste generated from the posters, flags, billboards and whatnots carrying faces of political wannabes it is going to take a hell of time for them to rot and decompose in the landfill.

Anyway, that is not the point. My point is the content of the posters itself. When indulging in self gratification is not enough, the parties are now erecting posters and billboards to belittle other parties. No prize for guessing who’s who and who’s doing what, because those eyesores are everywhere. Things like, “the oppositions and their saliva talk are useless” and worst comments with accompanying comics of satire were so distastefully done that I wonder if those politicians can’t do anything better than this kind of child’s play, in the EXPENSE OF THE TAXPAYERS MONEY. Tell me, nonsense like these are coming from people who are supposed to be intellectually abled (anything other than that is an insult to others) to represent the people?

Downright low. Compete with something else. Defaming and belittling others are not helpful to the rakyat in any sense. Them and their dirty tactics, like it is going to win them votes. Harumph.

The “Ouran High School Host Club” Moment

ouran high school host club

This is one funny animation about a group of multi billionaire heirs’ encounter with a middle class student who happens to land herself in the school of the rich, spoiled brats after she won a scholarship. This hapless student were wondering around the school and somewhat how stumbled into The Host Club. Accidentally broken a vase that cost a lot, she was “enslaved” by the host club members who doesn’t know she was a girl (she was wearing a short hair and guy’s uniform at the moment)to run errand and work as busboy until her debt is paid off. Apparently having never come across so called “normal people” lifestyle, these brats were amazed with everything their busboy did, from the wonders of instant coffee to the “normal people” supermarket that sells mass productions of everything instead of custom made, one of a kind thing that they are accustomed with.

Inevitably, they somehow fell in love, and all the sort of prince and pauper complex. Go watch it if you haven’t already.

There’s a sale going on, and like all the “normal people” I shop at normal supermarket selling mass produced items. In this case I wanted to go check out FOS outlet because there’s a sale going on. I walked in just to see the own shirt I was wearing was promptly on display. LOL! That God after a few fittings the salesgirl didn’t enquire about me wearing their clothes and walking about, hehe. Unless I tailor made my clothes, its going to happen every now and then.
