The “Ugghh” Hairdresser

October 15, 2007 by Sleeping Princess

*Mildly pissed off mode*

I just cannot understand it when people in the service industry is practicing favouritism. I thought they can’t afford to, but I was sadly mistaken. My dear soon-to-be-ex hairdresser proved me wrong. Thrice.

It wasn’t my first time visiting that particular salon. I’ve been there that many times, and she treated me the same all the time. The I-can’t-be-bothered attitude today was the last straw though, I decided to go somewhere else.

I reckon she don’t consider it a loss. Neither am I. Like I give a damn anyway.

Let me recount some of the things that I don’t expect a hair dresser will say/do but she did it anyway:

  1. Talking to me as if she knows-it-all and I am a LULU.
  2. Keep telling me that I used to frequent cheap, unskilled hairdresser prior to her.
  3. Keep refusing to give me a perm when I enquired about it, even when my hair is obviously limp, because the last time I did any perm was like, more than a year back.
  4. Keep entertaining my cousin in a friendlier tone while ignoring me when I ask her how much does it cost for different types of perms at her place.
  5. Keep telling me that I DARE NOT get the same hairdo as my cousin when my cousin ask if I wanted to get my hair done when she is doing hers. Not that I fancy getting the same hairdo, but she SHOULD NOT challenge me all the same.
  6. Keep showing me the fake tinted contact lenses and Justice Pao face.
  7. Keep shooting me sidelong glances as if I couldn’t afford her service.
  8. Keep comparing her hair with mine, and telling me that I should CONSIDER before doing anything.

Don’t wanna think about it anymore. Not returning anyway.

Harry Potter and the Stupid Price Difference

July 24, 2007 by Sleeping Princess

I don’t care if there are different parties fighting until their heads bleed or their knees scrap.

I only know I will buy them at a cheaper price. That, is indisputable.

I don’t care who is at fault for selling them without profit or who is sulking because they can’t sell as cheap.

As long as I save some money.

Hey, you think they’d care if you got shortchanged? Fat chance. Now that it is their turn who is in the losing end, they sulk and fret and make noises and refuse to sell.

Kids. All of them. Grow up.

I’ve bought a lot of books from them and they are already squeezing a lot of profit from the customers.

Bleh. Hypermart rulez.

I’ve got another parking ticket!!!!1111

July 18, 2007 by Sleeping Princess

Yours truly has been summoned again. On the same spot. At the same time. Different date. Argh, you would’ve thought that I won’t learn, wouldn’t you?

Of course, I must tell dad about it.

Moi: I’ve squandered all the money you gave to me on paying parking summonses.

Dad: Oh, that is small matter. Do you need more money?

Moi: No thank you. But if you are kind enough, do donate a little wee bit more for my next month’s allowance. Like, you know, charity.

Dad: Its not CHARITY. Its INVESTMENT.

Moi: …. Okay.

So, any charitable souls out there to help pay my parking ticket?

Billing Problems Ain’t Ending Yet

April 25, 2007 by Sleeping Princess

This is a continuation of my rants, Billing Problems. I think it is too much for one post so I chopped them up.

Where was I? Oh yeah. Here.

I’ve spent countless times talking to staffs at the TMPoint, explaining that it is not possible to have such charges because I have never connected the phone at all (the line is used solely for Streamyx) and they have been giving all sorts of suggestion from my housemate’s using it to I am using it. I know it is not possible because my house mate uses her own phone line and Streamyx line and is seldom at home most of the time anyway, and I already stress that I don’t plug in the phone. Each and every time in the end, I can’t waiver the fees.

Ditto to the TMNet dialup charges. They’ve been telling me I am using it. Bullshit. I know I have a TMNet dialup account under the same name, but the bills always arrive back in hometown and I know my mum has been paying it religiously. And why the hell do I need to use dialup here when there is Streamyx? You tell me.

I’ve been telling them that too, but I end up having to pay them anyway or risk getting my service suspended. This few months I’ve been stalling the payment for the TM bills, and the extra charges came to almost a hundred. I am at loss. I don’t know what to do. I just know that, end to end I still have to pay.

Is it possible that some foul play is involved? Like line stealing and stuffs like that?

phone bills

I scrutinize the bills and realized that all the calls were made when we left for the semester break and nobody’s at home.

Who the eff made calls from my phone when nobody’s at home???

Oh what the heck. I feel so dumb, conned and cheated. That makes me think thrice before helping anyone. Oh strike that. I am not going to help anyone, especially bastards. I am so severing the service right after the semester ends. But before that I still have to pay through the nose for the stupid incurring charges.

Billing Problems

April 24, 2007 by Sleeping Princess

The TM and TMNet Streamyx billing problem is pushing me through the roof lately. It is freaking getting from bad to worst.

In fact, this phone and broadband line is giving me problems ever since I’ve been using it. For starters, I made a grave mistake that I shouldn’t be making. This particular phone line is a transfer, thanks to being too soft hearted to relief a so called “friend” of a “friend” from being burdened with an extra phone line, after of which the moment the transfer forms were signed, those bastards refused to pay the sum of bills incurred for the necessary transfer and service charges, and after pestering them like some beggar on the street only did they pay unwillingly. Fuckers.

Ever since the change of names, the phone line took later than usual to be transferred, prompting another two months of phone rentals which I have to again thick facedly ask from the previous owner to bear the charges.

By then I already feel pissed and cheated because I spent a fortune on the line transfer, owner changes and all the charges that I should have straightaway cut this stupid line off once and for all, but because back than I was dirt poor and can’t afford paying for another line application, I didn’t.

Again I have to stress that I feel like a sucker. I feel cheated. I am angry. But it doesn’t seem like I can do anything because I did agree to it in the first place. Those two arseholes probably had been laughing to find such a huge sucker.

The line has never been stable. This I know is a more of a technical problem than it is the fault of anyone, but the fact is, every month they will be unexplainable extra charges, be it in the form of local calls, outstation calls and TMNET dialup charges.
